Today's meditation is all about being grateful and cultivating a mindset of gratitude in life.

While I know we can all think of one or two things we should show thanks for, there's an endless list of things we are luck to have/experienced in life.

In showing gratitude everyday, we can boost our overall happiness and well being. So let's begin.

Find a place where you feel you may relax.

Straighten your spine.

Breathe deeply and be mindful of the way the breath travels through your nose and mouth, in .....and out

I will be delving into some universal things we can be thankful for, and let yourself fill up with grateful and loving energy. Allow this feeling to come up naturally, and let them fill your whole being. Observe the feeling, and know it can be cultivated at any time.


Know that your heart beats for you every day, relentlessly. You likely don't think about this much, but your heart works for you constantly and lets you be here and experience all that you will.

Know that you can breathe without struggle much or all of the time. This allows you life and the many pleasures that come with this. You can smell a multitude of things, from flowers to the meals you eat with friends. You can taste this dessert and enjoy the flavor it carries, and can feel love amongst relatives and friends. You can hear their laughs and talk with them, expressing your thoughts and feelings. These are all gifts.

Focus on your hands now and notice how they feel. Recognize that they allow you to touch and hold whatever you please, know they allow you to show appreciation and care to your loved ones.

Your mind allows you to learn, to express, to experience, to witness, to believe, to grow. We can feel and process our emotions because of our mind. It allows us to feel happiness and sadness and love and joy. We are always growing and becoming wiser, and this is made possible because of our mind.

Observe how your legs and feet feel. Recognize that they bring you where you please, and let you go where you like to. They give us the gift of dance and sports, along with many of our daily activities. Without them, your life would be so different.

Appreciate every part of you, all the small parts that make up your body and work together to support you on a daily basis.

Appreciate the sunlight and the opportunities to see the sun rise every morning. Appreciate all the beautiful sights in this world and the fact that we have the opportunity to see them in our lives.

Be thankful for all the potential in you, and the potential in the future. There is so much to come, and so much more growth on it's way.
