Guided Meditation For Happiness

I made this guided meditation in the hopes you could use it when you were feeling a little down or just wanted a mood boost. Enjoy!

Hi there, and welcome to my guided meditation designed to make you smile a little more and feel a little happier....
To start, find a comfortable spot and settle into it . Do your best to sit somewhere you'll remain a little alert and won't drift off!.. Let's use a breathing technique I like to return to a calm mind first. Breathe in for four or so seconds, hold for 7 if you can, and do your best to release your exhale for 8......

Do you feel a little calmer? This method is physiologically proven to level mood, so I would definitely recommend infusing it in your life and maybe giving it another try if you struggled first with it.

Now.... Let's embark on a body scan..... Search your body for any signs of discomfort or tension. Look where you might be holding in your unwanted feelings. Know that it's okay to feel any way, all emotions present themselves for a reason....However, know it's vital to release them in order to move on as well......

Wherever you are holding in this discomfort, mentally focus on relaxing that area. Take your time, as you may not realize where you hold tension until you look! Are you maybe holding tension in your face? forehead? Mouth?

Smile! This scientifically boosts happiness. Smile and visualize a time you were last really happy......... See where you were....... remember exactly how you felt.....and mentally bring yourself back...... Focus on the way this feels, and mentally bring yourself back to this time.....

Smile throughout your whole being, let every part of your body emanate the feeling you had in this memory..........

Repeat the following with me, aloud or in your head

I can create my own happiness.....I choose to be happy daily......

Life is not always perfect but it doesn't have to be perfect for me to be happy.........I don't need life to be perfect to experience happiness

I know how to be happy at any time and at any place.......I smile as often as I can and am a happy person.

I am happy and I have much to be grateful for.....Everything leading up to this has had a purpose and I am ready for whatever comes my way.

Continue cultivating this happy feeling and beam with happy energy. Bring your attention to your body and your surroundings. Become more aware and open your eyes when you're ready.
