Guided Meditation for Sleep

Hello again, and welcome to my mediation designed to help you sleep. As opposed to my other meditations, I highly encourage that you lay on your back, placing you hands somewhere comfortable (like on your thighs).

Go through your body, looking for tense areas, and just observe the way your body feels. Try to quiet your mind, and if you can't, that's okay too. That's what we're here for- to relax together. Once we relax and let go of any preexisting tension, you can sleep peacefully and restfully.

Take a breath inward............... now exhale whenever you feel ready enough to do so.

In................out

In again............and out again

See any tension in you roll away, leave you entirely, as you are breathing out.

In my experience not being able to fall asleep, I tend to concentrate and stress over the things that happened earlier or whatever I may need to do the next day. If this sounds familiar to you as well, let's try and focus on returning to here and now.

Now is the only time there is. We have to move past earlier events, accept them. They cannot be changed. To be happy, we need to know there is always a fresh start in the present moment.

And in this moment, we are trying to relax and serve our future self through relaxation. Whatever you see yourself having to do in the near future, know that you're doing exactly what you need to right now.

All you need to do.....is relax........

Let go

Breathe in, and as you breathe out, see yourself sink a little deeper into your bed

Again

Breathe in.. Breathe Out and visualize yourself sink a little bit deeper

Again

Tomorrow you will be ready for whatever comes your way, because you are choosing to rest now. In choosing to rest you strengthen yourself tomorrow.

Sense your attentiveness begin to drift away, little.....by little.....

You can be calmmmmm

It's okay to be sleepyyy

Count with me, and as we move closer to one, feel yourself become incrementally calmer.
